Close up of calm, luminous skin after a Procell microchanneling treatment

As we age, our cell renewal factor, or cell turnover rate, slows down. The top layer of the skin, the one we see, touch and agonise over, becomes dull. We lose our glow.

The Procell Therapies microchanneling system works with the skin’s own defence response and has been shown to stimulate the production of fresh collagen, softening fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and dark spots.

With little to no downtime, microchanneling with Procell can achieve long lasting improvements for a number of concerns:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Skin tone and tightening

How does Procell work?

Microchanneling has made a real impact in the last few years because of how effective it is and how quickly it works. It has been shown to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, acne scars, age spots, sun spots and stretch marks.

The microchannel tips create small channels in the epidermis, which have been shown to increase serum absorption by up to 300 percent. The sterile, detachable, disposable tips vary in width and size to give the right amount of coverage while reducing any risk of backflow and cross contamination. Paired with the stem cell based microchannel delivery serum and aftercare serums, the skin is stimulated to regenerate stronger and healthier than before.

Procell serums are derived from human stem cells, sourced from healthy adult bone marrow donors, and contain a high concentration of natural human growth factors. These growth factors support cellular renewal and have potent regenerating properties that improve firmness, elasticity and tone. Fine lines and wrinkles diminish over time, and skin looks and feels brighter and more luminous.

Growth factors in skincare come from a variety of sources: plants, adipose tissue, platelet rich plasma, even snails. Only human stem cells help detect damaged skin and stimulate the skin’s own regenerative abilities. Procell serums use growth factors derived from human bone marrow stem cell cultures, which show anti inflammatory effects that may reduce healing time, hyperpigmentation and scar tissue deposition.

What sets Procell apart

  • Precision and consistency. Microchanneling devices give more controlled and uniform penetration than traditional microneedling tools, which leads to more consistent results.
  • Reduced downtime. Microchanneling causes less trauma to the skin, so there is less redness and a quicker recovery.
  • Serum infusion. Potent serums are applied during the treatment itself, which is where much of the benefit comes from.
  • Versatility. Suitable for all skin types and tones, and customisable to a wide range of concerns.
  • Long lasting results. A series of treatments is needed, but microchanneling provides longer lasting results and improved healing compared with microneedling.

The benefits

Reduces the appearance of acne scars. Microchanneling helps break down scar tissue and stimulate collagen production, leading to smoother, more even texture.

Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles. By promoting collagen and elastin production, microchanneling plumps the skin and softens lines for a more youthful complexion.

Reduces hyperpigmentation, rosacea and sun damage. Microchanneling encourages cell turnover and helps fade dark spots, redness and other discolouration. For stubborn pigment, it also pairs well with our corrective pigment protocols.

Improves texture and tone. The precise micro injuries promote cellular regeneration, leaving skin smoother, softer and brighter.

Minimises enlarged pores. Microchanneling helps unclog and refine pores for a smoother finish.

What to expect during a treatment

Microchanneling simulates injury in the skin, which triggers the natural wound healing cascade and activates collagen production. A topical serum containing bone marrow growth factors paired with hyaluronic acid, both of which occur naturally in the skin, is applied during and after the treatment to support the response and minimise downtime.

There is little to no downtime with this procedure. Microchanneling works both preventatively and correctively, for scarring, wrinkles, lines, laxity and pigmentation. Phuong will assess your skin and build a treatment plan around it during your consultation.

How to prepare

  • Avoid any type of exfoliant on your face for at least 5 to 7 days before your treatment.
  • Limit sun exposure for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
  • Avoid topical retinoids, which can cause irritation or peeling.
  • Avoid anti inflammatory medications. Microchanneling relies on a natural inflammatory response, so these will reduce the benefit you see from the treatment.

Aftercare

Procell is a powerful skin rejuvenation treatment, and proper aftercare is what protects the result.

Immediately after

  • Do not wash your face for at least 6 hours. Let the serums fully absorb, then cleanse gently with a mild, non exfoliating cleanser.
  • Avoid touching your face. Your skin is sensitive, so minimise contact to prevent irritation or infection.
  • Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water to support healing and collagen production.

First 24 to 48 hours

  • Skip makeup and let your skin breathe. If you need it, use mineral based makeup only.
  • Avoid sun exposure. Your skin is more sensitive to UV, so wear SPF 30 or higher outdoors.
  • No harsh products. Avoid retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C and exfoliating agents. Use only the gentle, hydrating products recommended for you.

Days 3 to 7

  • Keep hydrating, inside and out.
  • Use your growth factor serums. These accelerate healing and optimise collagen production.
  • Avoid excessive heat. Skip hot showers, saunas and workouts that cause heavy sweating.

Longer term

  • Maintain a gentle, nourishing routine.
  • Apply SPF daily.
  • Follow up with a series of treatments. Procell delivers its best results over a course rather than a single session.
